Our Smorgasboard

This is the preparations for one of our meals. It was a great meal. In my left hand is the inner bark of a white pine tree. It was shockingly tasty right off the tree. The white pine tree is a great tree to know for survival. Just peel the bark off the tree. Then with a knife put a small shallow cut on the inside of the bark and start peeling the inner bark from there. It will come off in long thin strips. It will be slimy and your hands will get sticky as well. Just cut a little piece and pop it on your mouth. You'll be surprised at how it tastes.

The white pine is the pine tree with the 5 long (about 3-4 inches) thin needles together attached at one end. These are also real good for pine needle tee. Just put the needles in hot water like you would a tee bag and this makes a very tasty tea that is higher is vitamin C than store bought fruits in the same quantity.

My favorite part of this stir fry was the pumpkin buds. They were amazing. Just go to your, or someone else's pumpkin patch and before the pumpkins come up pluck the bud. You can fry it up, batter it or prepare it any way you like. I bet you'll love it.

CampingSurvival.com. It's not about the END OF THE WORLD - It's not about surviving a hypothetical PLANE CRASH - It's about the SATISFACTION YOU GET knowing you can take care of yourself and/or your family in ANY SITUATION, ANYTIME, ANYWHERE!
