Hen of the Woods Mushroom by Ben

The attached picture is of the Hen of the Woods mushroom I found in Indian Kill, which a small preserve in Glenville, NY. I've had a lot of luck finding these in my area of upstate New York. It's one of my favorite edible plants because of the taste, abundance and the ease in finding them. Like many of the wild edible mushrooms they have been shown to have immune enhancing and cancer fighting properties.
