Inside the Hybrid Solar CookerThis pic is good because it shows you past the double pain glass and inside the hybrid solar cooker. You can see the tremendous size of the solar oven cooking area. On the next pic you'll see that the hybrid solar oven cooker comes with four specially designed containers to cook your "solar" food in. Although in this pic Dave just used two of the pots that come with it and one regular glass baking dish to cook the chicken cordon blue in, I think just so we could see it cook. The bowls that come with the hybrid solar oven are about half reflective/shiny metal and half flat black. Apparently the manufacturer studied and learned that this is the best combination for this type of cooking. I was also trying to get a shot of the thermometer inside to show the temperature at certain times. The thermometer didn't come out very clearly, but between the electric back up and the sun, it cooked very quickly. CampingSurvival.com.
