Tom with way too much gear

I look at this picture and cringe. On these winter trips I always over do it. In the past we have used sleds to carry all our gear in. On my last fall trip I had a small internal frame Coleman backpack and loaded with all my gear it was 30 pounds. This pack, my Maxpedition pack, folding stool (never even used it, I was standing the whole weekend), my 2 metal water canteens with canteen cups and 3 nalgene bottles all full of water and all the clothes and other gear I always have on me probably weighed more than me. Not really, but it had way too much weight. It’s just ridiculous now that I look at it. In fact, this past week I bought a new sleeping bag (ultralight) and a new survival vest. The vest will help me cut down on the gear I carry and be smarter about what I carry to hike and camp with. Also, as with all my gear, if I like it we’ll be selling them at CampingSurvival.com. So here are a few more items that are good components to your winter equipment camping list. Also as always, you can feel good about buying products from us at CampingSurvival.com. For one, we’re a 50 year old family business and we use the gear we sell.

CampingSurvival.com. It's not about the END OF THE WORLD - It's not about surviving a hypothetical PLANE CRASH - It's about the SATISFACTION YOU GET knowing you can take care of yourself and/or your family in ANY SITUATION, ANYTIME, ANYWHERE!
