Playing with rope while family camping

My Dirt Time Here is another great and simple thing to bring family camping. Rope is great to have around all the time, but is also very important to have while family camping. I usually have a few different sizes and styles of rope when we camp, but the thicker type ropes are great when camping with kids. In this pic you see out friend playing with our three kids and the rope. He’s from Montana and has worked on a farm and apparently is pretty handy with a rope. One simple thing we did with the rope that the kids loved was to tie it between two trees about 2 feet off the ground and very tight so you can stand on it. Then, depending on your kids height, tie it a couple or few feet higher so they can reach it. (this would be great over water too but could be quite messy) The kids can see if they can walk across the rope from one tree to the next on the bottom pieces while holding on to the top piece.

Or you can all simply learn how to rope someone or something. While supervised by an adult of course, make a simple loop with the rope and then throw it at things to try to get the rope around the object such as a tree limb.

CampingSurvival.com. It's not about the END OF THE WORLD - It's not about surviving a hypothetical PLANE CRASH - It's about the SATISFACTION YOU GET knowing you can take care of yourself and/or your family in ANY SITUATION, ANYTIME, ANYWHERE!
